  1. Its refreshing to read your article.  I don’ think enough emphasis is placed on this aspect of web or interface design, however I believe a growing number of firms are placing an emphasis on the “emotional connection” designed into the user interface.

From a designer’s perspective, it can be a challenge to convince a client to agree to the extra work involved and the cost versus benefits, because it is something intangible.  I’ll point them to this article then.

If, however, to combine the principle of authority and physical attractiveness, the effect increasing many times over. Therefore, the use of product reviews from the handsome and popular man will give a strong positive effect.

  3. A very informative article and it definitely cleared my mind about certain issues such as “Personalities clash” and the dreadful feeling of losing some customers due to my “Big selfish designer Ego”. But with the examples mentioned in this article, I’m convinced that letting my personality shine through my design is the way to go.

  4. Its critical to implement a unique design, especially in business. This is something that I have realized over the last couple years. I had a client choose my business over a rather large competitor because I had the most unique design. Although I charged more then them, he was happy to pay it because he was getting something different then everyone else.

I have found it is best to give this approach in everything that I do.

  5. As I think about ‘personality’ in the designs we make it turns out to be a blend of personalities: 1)that of the customer (including the impression the customer leaves after the first meeting), 2) some imaginary personality we perceive the target audience would expect to deal with, and 3) that of the designer in charge
