  1. I especially like the point about stopping the “quiz” portion of the interview if it’s clear that the person isn’t progressing forward. At the end of a series of interviews, I don’t imagine there should be a scoreboard in a conference room somewhere with a collection of quiz scores from all the applicants—the “100” being the job winner.

  2. Nicely done, thank you. I really valued the thoughtfulness you brought to this piece.

    Two pre-interview suggestions:
    1. Read Glassdoor (and maybe and other sites) and learn what people in the market are saying about your company. The applicant certainly has.
    2. Capitalize on exit-interview results as part of your pre-interviewing prep. That’s one of the best ways to learn (unless you know the role firsthand) the up- and downsides of the experience of being/serving in the role.
