  1. Classic quote: “...programming is a desperate losing battle against the unconquerable complexity of code, and the treachery of requirements.”

There’s always a million ways to do something, so whatever way you choose will be a step in the wrong direction of the other way. In having the choices a programmer is god-like, but without the view of the perspective of time (that a real god would have) we are bound to make wrong choices, thus compromising every project from the very first line.

  4. Hello,

GReat article!! I am a newbie to programming, just starting to more about it,  watching youtube vids by the dozens. I have recently asked been at work to put together a sop for our dept, and while i do know much about what we do, i know this is massive project. how do i tell my boss that it won’t be quick/ fast project to complete, without losing out to her giving project away to someone else? I thought i’d just do a quick outline & flesh it out more as time permits, but she liked and asked right away how fast i could present to the roundtable committee( once a month , every team tells about projects they’ve worked on & completed,to help the team/ company)?
I feel overwhelmed, but i don’t dare turn it down, my review is 4 months.. thanks for any help/ suggestions you have,

    thanks in advance,

  6. Publishers are the stratum of people that are always late with their ideas. In fact, they are never producing them, that’s the reason for lateness. And I’m afraid that’s not because of the gender, nationality, etc. It’s an essay for college strategy developed by Pr. Edgar Krais from Germany. He mentioned that publishers will always look back in the age of everyone looking to the future.
